The Enchanted Celebrant

Hello, I’m Alice ‘The Enchanted Celebrant’ based in Merseyside UK. I completed my training at the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, specialising in weddings.

My family and friends describe me as sunshine in human form. I love to spread joy, and I know I can bring that touch to your ceremony.

I have a wealth of experience supporting significant life events having spent over a decade working in education and health care settings, gaining my BSc (hons) Health and Social Care in 2018.

I am also an actor. In my spare time you will most likely find me in a theatre, at rehearsals or on the stage. I love to perform plus I’m a huge fan of fairy tales and love stories from Shakespeare, and Jane Austen.

A fun fact about me is, I was lucky enough to play Jane Bennet in one of the greatest love stories of all time ‘Pride and Prejudice’ at The Shakespeare North Playhouse.

“Everybody deserves to be the main character of their own love story.

I can’t wait to bring your bespoke ceremony to life!”

Your Questions,
Answered

What is the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?

Celebrants create personalised ceremonies that celebrate you, with complete freedom of content, location and timing. Whereas registrars conduct legal ceremonies, but they are restricted to location, set wording and time restrictions.

If you want your ceremony to take place in a theatre, cinema, a park or beach? It’s all possible with a celebrant led ceremony.

A registrar can legally marry you, but a celebrant provides a crafted heartfelt ceremony that tells your story.

No, many couples choose to get the official paperwork completed at a local registry office. This cost for this starts at £68.50, and can take place prior to your wedding day, during the wedding celebration or after.

Couples view this as the registering of their marriage or civil partnership, just as you would register a birth or death, and their celebrant led ceremony as the main event. Some couples will do this part alone with two witnesses. Or choose to make it a small intimate celebration before the big day.

Currently celebrant led ceremonies are not legally recognised in England or Wales. However, change is coming and independent celebrant groups continue to liaise with the UK Government to legally recognise celebrant led weddings.

Will we be legally married?

Do you only create wedding ceremonies?

No, If you have another ceremony in mind, I am open to create anything you desire. Vow renewals, funerals, naming, divorce, farewell ceremonies. The possibilities are endless, just get in touch. I can’t wait to hear from you.
